Joanne Helen Rondeau passed away peacefully on July 13, 2011 at her home in Sarasota, Florida following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born September 21, 1942 in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, the daughter of the late Herb and Nel Cox. Joanne was much loved by partner Dr. Brock Rondeau, her children Colin, Kara and Scott and their spouses Julie, Yuri and Emma. She will also be missed by her four grandchildren, Cameron, Sierra, Adelaide and Jack, and brother Brian (Marsha), niece Megan (Andrew), and nephews Jason, Ben and Paul. Joanne will be remembered as a true lady of exceptional beauty, grace, generosity and strength. She blessed her family and friends with a gentle kindness and sense of humour, even in her final days. She had a gift for knitting, interior design and organization of work and home and was fond of her pets and travel, especially trips to her beloved Scotland, Hawaii and Prince Edward Island. The family would like to thank her friends and healthcare team who were so supportive during her illness. As she wished, a private family memorial will be held later in the year in PEI.
